Afganistan's Story

I met a boy; we ate together and he told me about his land. He had a long journey from Afghanistan to Deutschland, from busses, foot, and AutoStop. He is happy to be here, he has a job and work. He is happy to save money for his family, to provide them better conditions and safety.

Afghanistan, a land for dreamers. So, Farman defines his country, when you see it, you will fall in love with it and you don’t want to leave anymore.

None talk about this country with eyes so full of memories and passion. It is a very fascinating place.

The afghan world is so different from ours. It is true, a completely other history, traditions and way of living, and thinking as well.

We read the newspapers and we find only bad news about this land.

We are a rich world, and even if we have uncertainties about the future, at least we have a roof on our heads and the possibility to receive a free printed book, culture, and personal improvement. And also, not less important, rights for our women.

Afghanistan isn’t so free, it hasn’t the freedom of speaking and doing and if today you go to school and you have a home, the next day maybe you are in the middle of the street with anything left but you. It is a difficult situation with a lot more relevant uncertainty than ours.

The young people look for a better future, for themselves and the family at home. They move abroad, they think that in Europe they can find work and home. If they change their mentalities and they adapt to our culture, different than theirs, well it can be a huge change in their lives.
